七姊妹上見綠洲


搵工搵工搵工,搵到發呆。正宗人浮於事。人浮於外地,更不是味兒。雖然意志仍算頗高昂,但真係好怕搵工嗰種等待再等待。

幸得友人打救,建議週未外出走走,令我豁然開朗。天氣雖然不算好,但總算秋高氣爽,看來夏天已過 (慘!)。乘着友人暖灰色的小迷你,足足走了大約三四句鐘 (連迷路),方能到達「七姊妹」(The Seven Sisters)。這個在敦倫東南遍南的海岸國家公園,景色宜人,尤其那長長的白色斷崖。



一個讀調理農務 (地理) 的友人解釋道,懸崖之所以出現,皆因該海岸的石質本身經已十分鬆脆 (質感有點像粉筆),再加上長期來自海浪和強風的侵蝕,所以造成如此奇觀。在崖邊除了有「Cliff edge」的警告牌外,還有一小段文字說明懸崖正不斷被侵蝕中,崖邊位置可能不穩,請各遊人小心,意外後果自負 (在康港,一定加建極醜的圍欄,懶安全。因為 common 人欠缺 common sense)。畏高的我,真係嚇到標 … … 。



沿着崖上走,到達一個燈塔,在這高處可遠眺內陸的田野景色,眼前的綠油油加藍天,就像 Windows 的 default wallpaper (有時豐富的想像力是可以殺風景的)。

回程中,天空中忽然出現一隻大鐵鳥。隱隱約約間,看到機尾的橙紅,機身的一行小字,讓我確定那是「我們的甘泉航空」(Oasis Hong Kong)。不知為何這班機會經過此地,因為她着陸的機場應該是老遠的 Gatwick,而且內子指出,下午四時許應該沒有甘泉航班抵英或離英的 (唔通又 delay?)。更奇怪的是,那空中綠洲在天上兜了一個大圈,然後以極低飛的姿態劃過崖邊 (低飛低到似在舊時九龍城上空),非常九唔搭八。

懸崖邊上見綠洲,是否意味着我的求職路上絕境也可以逢生?

謝謝鼓勵!但金錢和時間都唔許可我嘆慢版呢 ~!所以而家都以速戰速決騎牛搵馬法,希望可以留英拿點經驗。

actually gatwick's not that faraway (at least it lies between london and brighton ^^)...

haha, about the warning msg, do u know that 7 sisters is a popular spot for suicide? once my friends hiked there, they left their bags somewhere along the cliff, and when they returned, there're police and helicopters around - their unattended bags had caused great panic, haha...

try those upstairs printing company at china town, they do lots take away menu. i think you should get a job there.

but if you want work as designer in London, be honest, you are still far not enough, keep work hard more.

但像路廷兩邊伸這類心胸窄小心眼又有閒暇於網上鬧事的孤魂野鬼卻寥寥無幾。

Lovely pics. Didn't realise Seven Sisters is such a scenic spot, as all I thought of immediately was the old vinyl music shop up Seven Sisters Road described in Nick Hornby's "High Fidelity"!

Btw, we have a similar chalk cliff in Ireland too, called the Cliffs of Moher. My parents were there earlier this year, and apparently the Irish have taken the precaution of setting up barriers around the cliff's edge, at least around where the main tourist hiking route is located.
