懶洋洋洋人
「懶洋洋」呢個容易詞點解有兩個「洋」字，學子唔知道，但佢確係一個形容洋人的貼切詞語。
由細到大，都聽盡了親朋戚友對洋人「惰性」的壞話。「啲鬼就最鬼懶！做嘢又慢！」「到銀行排隊，三人人龍都可以排你九個字！」
「佢哋郁吓就話 stress，一啲都唔捱得！」「公司五點半就冇晒人啦！」「千祈咪同啲鬼做 group project，佢哋超懶！最後都係你自己做晒。」... ... 等等等等，總之，好似冇華人僱主願意請佢哋做嘢咁。「懶洋洋」的「洋洋」是兩個洋人一齊懶的情景。
問題來了，既然啲洋人咁鬼懶，為何西方社會發展及其學術世界在人類歷史上又有着咁深遠嘅影響呢？論工作時間，我哋絕對領先！論唔放假都開工，我哋又絕對稱王！論唔理仔女家人去搵錢養家，我哋簡直係先驅！佢哋懶到咁都可以領晒風騷，咁我哋中華民族勤力咗五千幾年，咪應該一早已經稱霸全宇宙？！
腦袋構造一樣，「mentality」卻不同。早前，朋友想嘗嘗著名的英式 fish & chips，睇吓有乜咁「特別」。於是乎去了學校附近一間薄有名氣的小餐廳試試。點知去到，驚覺它沒有營業，告示上話：「八月一日至三十一日放假。」嘩！簡直駭人聽聞！條件反射即時發問：「佢哋唔駛食飯咩？納空租都肯制？就算自己鋪都少賺成個月錢啦！駛唔駛懶成咁呀？」一大堆理性到不得了的有力論點，排山倒海地湧出！冇開，唯有去第二間。行了十五分鐘，去到另一間同樣有啲朵嘅 fish & chips 專門店。嘩！嘩！嘩！世界未日呀！「Staff Holidays，八月八日至三十日休業。」仲神怪！為咗啲 staff 放成個月假？開善堂乎？... ... 嗰日，我們都懷疑是英國的「休漁期」。
慢開，可以選擇有時快；快開，可以選擇慢嗎？勤力，冇人會覺係貶意詞；懶惰，冇人想當作座右銘。假日，冇人願返工；深夜，最好有 ping shop (shopping) 有店鋪營業。
我們喜愛的生活模式，造成我們厭惡的生活模樣。
懷念，市面一片寂靜的大年初一！

其實，在不影響我o既情況下，我係頗欣賞洋人呢種生活方式的，不過，有時遇著搭車買野等情況，又真係幾火滾的......我印象最深係有次去電器舖買菲林，筒菲林已經渣住響手，不過仲想睇其他野，點知一搭正六點，店員即時要顧客疏散，我走埋去話俾錢埋單，佢都夠膽死話明天請早......
我們喜愛的生活模式，造成我們厭惡的生活模樣。
全文重心
哈哈！呢啲文化衝擊學子都試過。諗住臨閂門衝入超市，以為可以好以惠康百佳咁任逛，點知佢哋竟然出 —— 熄滅 —— 呢招！絕！有次去睇展覽，六點閂門，五點九開始清場，疊正落閘，六點零五分就所有職員閃晒，一片死寂！
方便係冇咁方便的，但視乎用家的習慣吧。反觀之，經歷過「endless OT」的打工仔，就會好好好感同身受地知道「準時放工」的可貴。試幻想一下，「準時放工」不是傳說，是常規，你話幾咁高興，幾咁令人難以置信呢！(生多幾個細路？No problem！)
點解會有同事不人道地對你說：「嘩！今日乜咁早走呀？而家十點未夠喎！」當全世界以自己方便換他人不便時，市只會爛下去，生活只會苦下去。
不過，如果個民族以「經濟發展」行先，咁就另計！
我終於搵到份準時放工的Design工，萬歲！
嘿嘿。

做愛都無精又無力啦
點生多幾個細路
生完邊個養，邊個教？
但宏觀地想，沒有中國人的世界工廠以及第三世界的sweatshops，老外們又能否如此養尊處優呢？

maybe i can share about my personal thoughts on caucasian's work ethic since i live in toronto canada for more than 10 years...
they are quite slow that's a fact. sometimes i go to do something at a bank, i would be pissed because i can stand there for a super long time. and they would not care or even know that it's stupid to work so slowly. even the caucasian customers would be pissed too!! that's hilarious. but the bank tellers would be the same.
these years they are getting better. there's one bank started heavily emphasizing on customer service. soon other banks followed. it's a good culture. and that actually reminds me of hong kong's banks. that's a thumb up for hk!
i think, the POINT, however, that seperates the final outcome of the western world and that of hong kong's, is because of their EDUCATION. they were learned to be thinking creatively since very young. the kids didn't have to "study" from grade 1 to 6 (equivalent to hk's primary school). all these kids do is play at school everyday! but they are not just allowed to play whatever they like to; they were instructed to do lots of interactive and fun exercises to provoke their personal thinking process.
that's why you may notice a lot of hk students are bad at presentation and articulation, or thinking outside the box (well not everyone, there are lots of exceptions of course) but the caucasian students can.
that may be why even the hong kong people work like hell, their result may still not be able to surpass those in the western word.
i think that's the difference.
